Medical Deferrals may be requested when an extended absence (more than one month) is necessary due to serious illness or other medical condition (mental or physical health) or when dependent-care (family leave) situations prevent full-time Fellowship Activity for an extended period. The GRFP Institution must agree to keep the Fellow on their Grants Roster.
