Who is eligible to supervise?
Each clinical supervisor will be recruited for the duration of the individual placement and will be required to meet each of the following eligibility criteria in order to participate in the project: • the supervisor must be a registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, including being registered as an approved supervisor if required in that state or territory • the supervisor must have experience and expertise in drug and alcohol/mental health interventions • the supervisor must be available to undertake weekly supervision (one hour for each two days of fieldwork) with the student, and the majority of these supervision sessions must be face-to-face at the AOD service. There is a maximum of 20 hours supervision per student • the supervisor must agree to complete all placement requirements and reporting procedures, such as attending pre-, mid- and post- placement meetings and writing final placement assessment reports.
