How are carpet tiles installed?
They are sturdy enough that some people loose lay them in small areas, but they are designed to receive a full spread of adhesive for moderate to heavy traffic and for safety purposes. Focus Floors releasable adhesive is specially formulated for removal of tiles at a later date. This adhesive can be applied in a small amount the size of a $.50 piece with a small sponge paintbrush on the backing of the carpet tile at each corner. Some heavy traffic areas can also have a full spread of adhesive with a paint roller brush or trowel which is applied directly to the floor before installing the carpet tiles. This adhesive is easily cleaned up and after 20 minutes on the floor has a permanent tackiness that allows you to lay the carpet tiles and pull them back up whenever you need or want to. Also, double-sided tape can be applied to a dust-free sub floor, or to the back of each tile. Just place the tape around the perimeter of your floor (sticky side down). Then form a grid of tape across the
