The HESI A2 is an assessment that measures a student’s Basic Math and English skills. The assessment is divided into two areas; an Academic Section and a Personal Assessment Section. The required modules in the Academic Section are: • Math • Reading Comprehension • Vocabulary • Grammar The HESI A2 is not an assessment of nursing knowledge; however, for the Vocabulary Section, students will need to be familiar with general vocabulary words used in the health care field. The Personal Assessment Section consists of a learning style assessment and a personality profile. The Personal Assessments are intended to give the student information about their study habits and academic dispositions.
