WiserEarth allows you to find organizations anywhere in the world that address the issues you are interested in; it allows you to find people in the same way, whether they are near or far. You can create community portals, events, resources, and postings for jobs and needed resources. There are dozens more uses depending on whether you are a student, funder, NGO, writer, researcher, activist, citizen, etc.
