What does the rental fee include?
Your rental fee includes private use of the room during a specific time period, supervision by City Museum staff and cleaning crew*, and general admission** to the rest of the facility during the event. *Additional staffing and cleaning fees may apply depending on the size of the event and amount of space rented. **General admission access excludes the World Aquarium; additional fees will apply.
Depending upon the amount paid, the fee includes the interior terrace, exterior terrace, tent and/or garden areas. Also, up to four hours for your event, plus three hours for set-up and breakdown are included in the fee. (The tent is NOT included in the rental fee during the winter months.) All equipment, decorations, etc… to accommodate your event and guests must be rented through your caterer and/or event planner. Additional event or set-up/clean-up time may be purchased when contracting for $200.00 per hour.
The rental fee entitles the renter to the exclusive use of the Prospect House, patio tent & adjacent grounds, tent side-walls, chandelier lighting, full set-up and use of 25 60″ tables and 200 white chairs, dance floor, podium, 110V power source, one hour rehearsal (to be scheduled) prior to weddings, a bridal room, heat for the tent and use of the grounds for photography 1 hour prior to function start. The rental fee does not include museum tours for guests, nor additional chairs and tables. Museum tours however can be arranged for a fee and our caterer can arrange for additional tables and chairs.
Your rental fee includes the use of the room during your rental time slot, cleaning of the room and parking on a first come, first serve basis. Valet parking is available upon request at an additional charge and may be required at certain events. Q: Does LME provide decorations for private events? A: No, these arrangements must be made with outside vendors of your choice. (Candles are allowed in the rooms). No room alterations or attaching of anything to the walls without prior LME authorization will be allowed Q: Can I have music at my event at LME? A: A BIG YES! LME was built for live music and stage productions. LME can arrange and provide a variety of local, regional or national level music and comedy talent or a variety of speakers for your event. With a prior authorization from LME you may bring your own band, DJ, or other music performers of your choice to play during your event.
