The price in my opinion depends on the breeder you choose and the quality of the dog. I paid $200 for my male miniature pinscher. At that time, I did some research,but not enough to know the standards for what I was wanting. He is now 2 years old. I felt more like I was rescueing him, instead of purchasing him. My female is 3 and I got her from a different breeder. I got her in September of 2006 and she was 2 at the time. She is so beautiful and loving. I paid $300 for her and she was so much better. I am friends with this breeder and I keep in touch with her. She helps in any way she can, whether I just have a question or I need help clipping my dogs nails. Do some research. You’ll be happy you did and have better results. A chihuahua can go for as little as $200 – $1,000 – it depends on the breeder. It also depends on what you are looking for.
