How are the aligners made?
In order to guarantee high degree of precision during the whole process, high definition impressions (molds) (PVS) of the dental arch are made. The orthodontist sends the material to a manufacturer where it is scanned through computed tomography that results in a high definition tridimensional image of the patient’s teeth. The image is worked on using a special software that simulates the orthodontic treatment according to the orthodontist’s orientation and planning. A computer program, named ClinCheck simulates movement of the teeth from the beginning, showing its evolution to the final result. ClinCheck is revised by the doctor through the Internet. In case it is consistent with the initial diagnosis and treatment plan, the process of making the aligners is approved.
