What standards should an LMS comply with?
An LMS should meet interoperability standards that define the structure of Web-based learning content and how it interacts with the LMS. The best known standard is known by its acronym SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model). An LMS that is “standards compliant” can deliver courses that are also compliant. Having a standards compliant LMS means that courses can be available from multiple vendors. What are learning objects?
