How is Thermage CPT done?

The main structural component of the skin is a protein called “collagen”. Collagen provides the skin with its strength. As we age, our bodies produce less and less collagen and then we begin to notice sagging, wrinkles, and loss of facial contour and sagging under the arms, the buttocks, legs and other body areas. The Thermage CPT procedure uses patented radio frequency technology to create a precisely controlled zone of heating in the dermis (deep layer of the skin) and in the underlying tissue. At the same time the epidermis (visible outer skin) is being protected by continual cooling. This “heating” causes the “collagen” to tighten thereby reducing skin laxity, wrinkles and renewing the contour of the face and other treated body areas. Thermage CPT treatment also causes new collagen production to occur over time. Thermage CPT is the only non-invasive, non-surgical method available today to effectively tighten loose skin and achieve a “non-surgical” lift.
