What is Hynosis?
The term “hypnosis” comes from the Greek word hypnos, meaning “sleep.” Hypnotherapists use exercises that bring about deep relaxation and an altered state of consciousness, also known as a trance. A person in a deeply focused state is responsive to suggestions of change, however, this does not mean that a hypnotist can control the person’s mind and free will. On the contrary, hypnosis actually teaches people how to master their own states of awareness, habits & behaviours without the effort of will power. • Can I get stuck in trance or hypnosis?No. There is not one case history of a patient ever being stuck in trance or hypnosis. Clients will be aware of the situation and can bring themselves out of trance any time they want to. • How long is a session?The session takes 2 hours if a following session is require it is 1 hour. • Does a weak-minded person make a better subject than a strong-minded person?
