Do NHS doctors ever diagnose people with OCPD (Obses Compulsv Personality) or is it not conisdered an illness?

It is an uncommon diagnosis, but it is true that there are a number of societal overachievers who fit most of the criteria for OCPD – specifically the rigid observation of established rules, strict adherence to routine (and anxiety in any deviations from it), and extreme perfectionism. What sets people with OCPD apart from mere perfectionists is how they tend to take it to an extreme, and the way it interferes with their lives. Yes, it can be severe enough that it prevents them from functioning effectively in society. I think people with OCPD would have to have a psychiatric assessment considering its symptoms, which would take place in a hospital. Otherwise, I can’t see it as being a disorder where people are removed from society for intensive treatment or anything like that.
