How much does a theory test cost?
A theory test costs $10 (cash, cheques or Interac but not credit cards). If you pass your theory test, you will be required to pay a $46 fee (cash, cheque or Interac) and the Société will issue you a learner’s permit with photo. It will be valid for up to 18 months from date of issue. It can be renewed for a fee. To go for the theory test, the Medicare card is mandatory, it proves residency.
