Middlesbrough fc?
I live near Middlesbrough but am a Newcastle supporter. I feel sorry for Steve Gibson the chairman. He has financed the club for years, got them a new stadium, spent money on players, they went to the UEFA Cup Final, but the supporters have turned their backs. When listening to local phone-ins, I think people were sick of Steve McLaren when he was manager, even though he got them their first trophy, and they just haven’t returned. They seem to be able to beat the top teams, few wins v Chelsea and Man Utd in past couple of years, but then they are capable of losing a few games on the trot against crap teams. On the phone-ins people are genuinely worried about what this season has to hold for the Boro. Also lot of unemployment in the area, so maybe people can also not afford to go every week.
