How Does PLC differ from Wood Badge?
PLC is an Advanced Leadership Experience in the backcountry where participants have a chance to live what they learned at Wood Badge. Wood Badge focused on introducing Leadership Skills with a short outdoor experience. The Philmont Leadership Challenge provides a series of challenging outdoor activities which teach new “hard skills” (such as Wilderness First Aid and Search and Rescue Techniques) but which require your team to work together to accomplish the activity tasks, using the leadership skills taught in Wood Badge. The powerful concept of Servant Leadership is explained and demonstrated throughout the course.
