Does Esri certify instructors in GIS?
No. Certification requires some sort of accreditation by an independent academic review committee. Esri does not have a GIS certification program, nor are we accredited by any GIS certification committee. Therefore, Esri does not have the authority to grant certifications to individuals or facilities. We are not permitted to use the term “certified,” and you must refrain from using this terminology in relation to Esri ATP authorization. The ATP authorizes instructors to teach select Esri software training courses, purchase Esri coursebooks, and teach classes using Esri-developed course materials. ATP partners are referred to as Esri Authorized Instructors (AIs).
