What day is pick-up?
Pick-ups are on Thursday afternoons. Members from 2010 may remember that pick-ups in the past were held on Fridays, but this season, after getting feedback on the year-end member survey that most members would prefer a weekday, we were able to coordinate a switch. Scheduling pick-up involves a number of factors — most importantly the schedule of Lancaster co-op’s delivery trucks and the schedule of the Food Bank’s Food Pantry program, which utilizes the same space and walk-in coolers that we do. During the 2010 season, the only time these schedules aligned was on Fridays. However, thanks to a changed Lancaster co-op truck route, during the 2011 season we will be able to set Thursdays as our pick-up day.
