How Is an Injunction Obtained?
An injunction is considered an extraordinary legal remedy. Generally, a court will consider issuing an injunction after receiving a request that is specific, formal, and written. The court situated in the county where the animal is located typically has the authority to issue an injunction affecting the animal. Then, if an injunction is issued, it must be properly and timely delivered to the appropriate person(s) affected. Generally, there are three types of injunctions: (1) Temporary Restraining Order.
