What Is Aphasia And What Causes It?
Aphasia is basically a language disorder which is caused due to damage to the parts of the brain that is responsible for our language abilities. It is often caused due to a head injury through an accident of some sorts or through a stroke. There is usually no warning for the condition as it occurs suddenly and it mainly affects the left side of the brain. However, there are times when it can develop slowly and when that happens it is usually the signs of a development of a brain tumour. As well as affecting how we understand a language, it also affects our ability to read and write which can be incredibly frustrating! It is also possible for the condition to appear with other conditions such as speech disorders which also usually occur through brain damage. So, overall Aphasia is quite a serious problem and for more information and advice on the condition it is always better to talk to your local doctor.
