What is equity shares?
Equity share is a part of Issued and subscribed capital of a corporation. The holders of these shares are owners of the corporation. Their liability is limited to the amount invested in these shares. If company goes in liquidation, all the creditors banks and financial institutions, government have first right and claim over the assets and they have claim over the amount realised Government dues will be paid first, then in the last the equity shareholders will get remaining amount. Once the amount invested in this share share holder has a chance to get good return by way of dividend bonus and appreaciation in the prices of shares which are quoted in the market.
