What are Georgia State Tax Credits?
The state of Georgia O.C.G. 48-7-29.14 tax code enacted on 5/14/2008 sets aside 2.5 million for new solar (PV) installations. The credit equals 35% of the total install cost of the system. For example, if an owner spends $20,000.00 on an installation, the credit will be $7,000.00. It is important to understand that you must pay over $7,000.00 in state taxes over the course of 5 years to recieve the full amount.
