If you’re going to be a paintball hero, you need a battlefield. Here’s how to locate a local paintball field. Check out the Internet for paintball fields in your area. Go to a major search engine like Yahoo or Google and type in the phrase “paintball fields” along with the name of your town or county. Check the yellow pages under “paintball.” If no fields are listed, call the stores and ask. Check out “Action Pursuit Games Magazine.” It usually provides a store and field directory in the back of every issue. (The magazine also sells a store and field directory that you can order.) Call the field and get directions, hours and prices. Find out what gear they supply, and what you’ll need to bring. Arrive at the field early and prepared. Most fields charge a flat rate for a full day of playing.
