What’s a Program Advisor?
• For Fuel Up to Play 60 to work best, each school should have at least one Program Advisor – an adult who serves as the program’s champion, engages, and empowers students. The Program Advisor acts as the “coach” for the program – helps to build a team and draft key players, supporting and mentoring them as they launch and implement Fuel Up to Play 60. He or she helps get buy-in from the principal and engages them with key adult decision makers, and helps them to select and implement their Healthy Eating and Physical Activity Plays. Ideally, the role is shared by more than one adult, and plays a critical part in helping the team make a positive difference in the school wellness environment. And Program Advisors have access to rewards, recognition, and funding to make it all happen. Learn more.
