No SPD found on DIMM 1 2?

Serial Presence Detect (SPD) data is probably the most misunderstood subject in the memory module industry. Most people only know it as the little EPROM device on the DIMM that often kept the module from working properly in the computer. On the contrary, it is quite the opposite. The SPD data actually provide vital information to the system BIOS to keep the system working in optimal condition with the memory DIMM. SPD refers to a 2,048-bit EEPROM that is included on some DIMMs. This is used to store the memory timings for that specific module, as determined at the production test. The BIOS can interrogate this at boot time and set the chipset settings accordingly to save you having to fiddle around with all the various parameters yourself. If the BIOS is expecting SPD but can’t find it (usually because some DIMMs on the motherboard have it and others do not) it has to guess the timing values and it displays the message to let you know what is happening. This leaves you no worse off tha
