What is Upward Bound?
Upward Bound is a federal government program to promote success in high school and higher education. Upward Bound helps students get to college through activities like academic advising, tutoring, mentoring, college application workshops, financial aid application workshop, test preparation, college visits, and cultural activities. During the summer, Upward Bound hosts a six-week summer residential program at The Evergreen State College. Currently Evergreen Upward Bound serves students at Chief Leschi, Foss, Lincoln, Mt. Tahoma, and Stadium high schools.
