The raging debate on euthanasia essentially revolves around voluntary euthanasia, which people say should be their right. Some other points in favour would be that it is too much of a load to keep individuals alive when they can’t contribute to society. Another gut wrenching point is pain, where people argue that society should have the power to force those suffering to endure such pain. With the shortages faces in many people, it has been argued that resources should be employed to save lives rather than prolonging the life of people who genuinely want to die. There are strong reasons against euthanasia as well including the Hippocratic Oath and the fact that it is deemed morally unacceptable. People feel euthanasia would amount to murder or suicide.
