Use of these pills over a long period of time will cause the colon to lose its natural ability of emptying the colon. Moreover, some of these pills contain very harsh laxatives, which can conduce to problems like nausea, vomiting, acne outbreaks and even severe stomach pain. They also leave a person feeling heavy and toxic at the end. Thus, these colon cleansers side effects have to be kept in mind before taking these pills. Some even use colon cleanse pills for weight loss. It is true that colon cleanse pills conduce to weight loss, because these pills stimulate bowel movements and get rid of everything in the bowels. This results in loss of weight. However, using colon cleansers to lose weight is not a very good idea. It is not a healthy way of losing weight.
