It is too bad the Moreno Valley Planning Commission thought that it was more important to have a nature trail than jobs. Excuse me, but the sound of diesel trucks in an area that does not support that many homes is hardly a reason to pass up a jobs-producing distribution center. The area is suffering from a 10 percent unemployment rate (“Area jobless rate at 10%,” Jan. 24) and severe state cuts. I hope our City Council takes into consideration the best interests of all the city’s residents and not just the more vocal ones. I do not think we are in any position to turn down jobs. VICKI L.
