(CANVAS STAFF REPORTS) – As media reports swirl about an alleged Russian spy ring, Anna Chapman is becoming its femme fatale. According to the New York Post , Chapman was among 11 suspected Russian spies arrested this week. The New York Times reported that 10 were arrested on Sunday in New York, Virginia and Massachusetts and an 11th person was arrested on Tuesday in Cyprus. They are accused of working for the S.V.R., a Russian successor to Soviet security agency K.G.B. Chapman, the Post said, is a 28-year-old divorcee with a masters degree in economics. She owned an online real estate business and lived in an apartment in Manhattan’s financial district. The UK Mirror named the business as Property Finder Ltd., attributing it to her LinkedIn profile. The Mirror said Chapman also claimed she worked as a “slave” for London’s Barclays Bank, though the newspaper said Barclays denies it.
