How to Boil Octopus
To boil an octopus, first prepare it for cooking and then get three large pots and three corks. For some reason, boiling the octopus using corks seems to help.Fill the pots with water, and put a cork in each. Put all three on the stove and bring the water in each to a boil at the same time. Now, take the octopus. Set it in the first pot of boiling water, and keep it in the pot until the water stops boiling. Once it has stopped, remove the octopus and put it in the second pot of boiling water. When the water in the second pot stops boiling, place the octopus in the third pot. After the water in the third pot has stopped boiling, return the octopus to the first pot, which should by now have returned to a boil, and allow the octopus to remain in it for 20 minutes.Once these last 20 minutes have passed, the octopus is ready and may be chopped up and served.
