Why buy a priceless vase when you can make your own? Designing your own vase allows you to work with colors and shapes of your own choosing, matching or contrasting with your decorating scheme. Choose your design. Greeting cards, magazines, wallpaper and books are great places to find your inspiration and materials. Cut out the designs that you want on the vase. Choose a container, a glass jar, empty jelly jar, old glass coffee cup, medicine bottle or plain glass vase. Clean out the container and dry it well. Plan where you are going to place your cutout designs on the outside of the vase container. Decoupage the vase. Dilute the glue and brush across the back of the cutout design with the large brush. Place the cutout design on the glass and press in place. Make sure the cutout is securely glued to the vase. Excess glue may squeeze out the sides; that is all right.
