What are myki readers?

0

myki readers are the devices which read the details contained in the microchip of your new myki Travel Pass. They have a touch zone area where your myki Travel Pass is touched on and touched off. They also have a visual indicator which will show the fare deducted and the balance on the myki card for patrons who pay for travel. This function is not relevant for Free Pass holders. The touch zone area is located directly below the visual indicator area. Once your myki Travel Pass has been successfully touched on or touched off, you will hear a beep and see a green light.
