Only your Master Spirit, either your Knight or Dragon, will be able to evolve when the time comes. Basically, choosing your Knight as your Master Spirit puts you on the offensive, while choosing your Dragon puts you on the defensive. Your Master Spirit cannot be changed later on, unless you rebirth your MAD account.
