Why are there new FSC label designs?
FSC wanted a new standard that was clear and user-friendly. The different Mixed Sources logo’s were confusing to use, and the detailed text was found un-meaningful to customers. There was also a need to make the use of the label more flexible to cover different product types and to avoid the need for additional statements. The new design will also speed up the process, as the labels cover nearly all possible uses.
