Wheres seriousness about waste?
To Bob Cameron and Susan Lane: You are so right! I witnessed cell phone abuse on a daily basis when I worked for MCS. It preceded Cash, it was there when Carol Johnson was in charge, and seems to be an entitlement issue. I was offered a district-issed cell phone upon my employment, and refused to have one. Although I did need a cell phone in the course of my duties and responsibilities, I never allowed the district to give me one, even though they viewed me as some sort of alien. I told my bosses that if the legitimate business calls made to or from my personal cell phone exceeded my package’s minutes, I would present them with a copy of my bill and ask that I be reimbursed only for those made on behalf of MCS. And guess what? I only had to ask to be reimbursed for maybe $20 worth of calls over a five-year period. There is NO accountability at MCS for cell phones — I had bosses who had not one but two Blackberries, plus they had to have the very latest, most expensive cell phones to b
