What is Par 3 golf?
Par 3 golf is a golf sport with every hole being a par 3 hole – unlike golf. Due to the nature of the sport, Par 3 golf is played over shorter courses and takes usually only about an hour and a half to two hours to complete an 18 hole round. With Pitch and Putt being defined as a game played on courses shorter than 1200 metres in length, Par 3 golf takes in the courses from 1200 metres through to about 2500 metres and holes are usually between 60 to 180 metres in length. Par 3 golf is usually played with up to 6 irons and a putter. In many parts of the world, Par 3 golf is played using a handicap system specially designed for the game rather than using golf handicaps. Par 3 golf is a game of precision and control.
