Which animals sleep standing up?
There are lots of animals that sleep standing up, mainly hoofstock. However those same animals also are known to sleep laying/sitting down. It is just that they sleep more standing up then they do down. As a side note though, giraffes cannot lay down and as they get older most cannot sit down because they will bleed out and die. They are one of the few animals in the world that are always standing. (most of the time you will only see giraffes sitting down when they are babies) Our elephants ever so often will lay fully down and take a nap… guests always freak out and think they are dead because they have never seen one lay down before.
