Is it safe to put toothpaste on pimples?
First off…toothpaste should NEVER be put on burned or inflammed skin!! That girl is misinformed. This could cause infection and is really bad for open/burned wounds. Now…i used to put toothpaste on my zits as long as they werent open wounds. It didnt really make much of a difference. Ive heard that something in pepto bismol works well if you dab a bit on before bed. The key to getting rid of acne though is drinking LOTS of water during the day and taking a multi-vitamin everyday. It is best to work your body from the inside out and while youre doing that, there are a few things to help such as putting a spot treatment (like Neutrogena On-the-Spot Acne Treatment) on your problem areas. Make sure though that you dont use too many diff things on your skin or dry it out…the more dry it is, the more your face will try to produce oils which will make it easier to clog.
