Who got pregnant 3 days before ovulation?
Sorry about your dad. Without ultrasound confirmation, predicting ovulation isn’t a precise science. You can give a “best guess” but it’s hard to say exactly when a woman ovulates. You could easily be out by a few days either way, even if you chart carefully. Having said that however, an average healthy woman has about a 1 in 5 chance of conceiving if she has intercourse at the right time – and that is usually from about 4 days before up until the day of ovulation. The trick being, of course, pinpointing ovulation, which usually happens about 14 days BEFORE the next period is due (not 14 days after the last one started). At this point it’s hard to say either way. Looking at raw averages and supposing you and your partner are both fertile, then I’d say you may have a 20% chance of falling pregnant if you had intercourse at the right time.
