Is the vw r32 worth the money?
If you compare the R32 against the current GTI then is does seem over priced. You do get the VW 4motion and 250 bhp but you also get the heavy 3.2l engine. The GTI is close to 10k cheaper, less than 1 second slower in a 0-60 sprint and has an identical interior if you opt for leather (except of course for the gti/r32 insignias), is a better day to day car, but is front wheel drive. If you buy the gti you can get a REVO chip/reflash for $400 to make the 2.0t engine kick out between 250-280 bhp and slightly more torque. I’ve owned a ’07 gti for 14 months and love it. The R32 is very desirable but not worth $35k compared to other cars on the market. Your choice.
