What is a Chest Pain Model?
The Chest Pain Center Model is an operational process for the care of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patients. It begins when a patient activates EMS, continues through patient discharge, and encompasses the entire facility. The Chest Pain Center (CPC) integrates an inter-departmental team working toward one common goal – to effectively and efficiently improve processes to assess, diagnose, and treat ACS and acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF) patients.
