Turn Up the HeatTurn on the grill and set the heat to its highest setting. Shut the grill cover and let the heat run for 15 minutes. Turn off the grill and allow to cool.Scrubbing the GratesScrub the grates with a wire bristled brush once they are cool. Try to get in between the cracks of the grates and along the outside edges.SprayingPut on a pair of rubber gloves. Remove the grates from the grill and lean upright against your house or fence. Spray the grates with a grill cleaner or oven cleaner spray. Allow to sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse with a hose. Turn the grates over and repeat the process for the other sides. Allow to dry.
