IS THE WII FIT REGION FREE?
The game itself (the disc) IS region specific and locked (so a Japanese or US Wii Fit game will not work directly on a UK console). The US console will not play Japanese or UK Pal versions of the game and vice versa. To make it work, you can use a boot disc called ‘Freeloader’ to free up the regions but this is not something most Wii users will want to get bogged down with, and furthermore being in Japanese there is not much point in using this version for Europe or the US anyway unless you speak the language. However the Balance Board itself is region free. The UK uses the PAL model which covers the European region and therefore you can play any Wii Fit from this region ie from France or Germany.
