Why is Elphaba a hero in Wicked?

0

I’m assuming you’ve never seen Wicked. Go watch it. Elphaba is shunned for having green skin (due to a birth defect) and magical powers and fights for the rights of Animals. Animals can talk and wear clothes, animals are just like the animals we see everyday. She was tricked into using her magic for the Wizard, but when she found out she had been used, she vowed to expose him for the tyrant he was, and later, proclaimed she would fight him until the day she died. She is a strong (albeit green) woman. So she is now a hero, while Dorothy is now getting boo’d and rotten tomato’d.
