3D doesn’t actually mean real-life 3D so you don’t some sort of weird 3d monitor. As long as the graphics card supports 3d and your laptop is powerful enough, it’ll be able to play the 3d game. 3D games usually require more computer resources than a 2D game for obvious reasons. I wouldn’t call it “increasing” the system requirements though.
