When should I fit winter tyres?
Winter tyres are ideal during the winter months when temperatures fall below seven degrees Celsius, although some would argue the tyres are ideal for much of the year. They can, however, become soft on hot days, and should be taken off during the summer months. Generally, winter tyres will offer more benefits to those in highland or rural areas which receive plenty of snow and ice during the winter months, but there is a growing trend in urban drivers fitting the tyres over winter.
