Which is the fastest bike?
For a street legal bike it is the MTT Turbine Street Fighter. The earlier version if this bike was the Y2K bike and had a top speed of 227 MPH (365 km/h). The newer Street Fighter is available with an upgraded larger turbine engine that makes 420 HP – 500 ft/lbs torque. The Street Fighter has a claimed top speed of 250 MPH (402 km/h). Kind of makes the Ducati and Hayabusa look like a Vespa Scooter. However even though this is a production model street legal bike, with the $175,000 USD price tag for the base model without the upgraded engine you won’t see many of them.
Here we go again…… refine the question as there is several “Fastest bike categories”. 1- Fastest recorded land speed record on a bike 2. What is the fastest production bike (if un-restricted) 3. And of course what everyone “thinks” is the fastest bike. All of which will produce different and potentially correct answers.
