Since Sicily lies on the coast it has a typically coastal or Mediterranean climate. This is broadly characterized by wet, mild winters and dry, hot summers. The interiors also experience cooler temperatures as well as snowfall in the winter. The coastal temperatures can be said to be between 19 to 30 degrees Celsius while in the inlands it could go as low as 13 degrees Celsius.
