Does NewsFlow allow a system administrator to give authorized users an assignable retention period for their material?
NNewsFlow offers an auto archiving/purge/retrieval scheme. At the point of ingest or at any other time, authorized users, as defined by the system administrator, can set a flag on any asset to determine when and how that asset should be purged or archived or both. With the VT DVD Printer option, selected parts of the database can be exported to a networked DVD printer. Each DVD includes XML metadata, thumbnails, and proxies. These DVDs can be browsed using any web browser on any platform. Additionally, users can manually archive and retrieve directly to and from the proposed media library.
