What is Orthokeratology or VST?
Orthokeratology (ortho-k) is a non-surgical method of improving vision in nearsighted children and adults. This is done through the application of specialized contact lenses or refractive devices that shape the front surface of the eye called the cornea. Once the shape is optimal, distant objects come into focus. This allows people with blurry distance vision to see clearly. Ortho-K is the only non-surgical and reversible method of vision correction currently available. Ortho-K has now become much more specialized and advances have been made in accelerating the process. The Vision Restoration Center, PLLC now offers two FDA approved methods of accelerated Ortho-K. These advanced methods allow patients to comfortably wear the refractive devices overnight as needed to see clearly the next day. No surgery, no laser, no need to worry about the result. Modifications are made simply by lathing the refractive device not your eye. View our Vision Video Series(TM) and our Patient Testimonial Pa
